About me
My motivation to pursue a PhD stems from the aspiration to establish a career in research as I always have been fascinated by the scientific process and the resulting discoveries. After finishing a master’s degree in biological sciences I decided to cultivate my long-standing interest in infection biology. Ultimately, my professional goal is to become an independent researcher who employs cutting-edge experimental and computational methods to discover molecular events involved in the pathogenicity of parasitic infection and pave the way for novel treatment options. I believe that the Cell2Cell network and my PhD project perfectly align with my career goals and create an environment to obtain comprehensive training from data generated in the lab to the analysis and interpretation at a desk. As ITNs, we also have an excellent opportunity to interact with like-minded people within the network and grow as scientists and individuals.
My host institute is located in the beautiful city of Munich which offers a variety of leisure-time activities. Everyone can find something interesting to do here. I love traveling and spending time outdoors and believe Munich is a perfect place for this.
