My life has been shaped by the magical word “genetics – the code of life” since I heard it. I have always liked to learn and discover new techniques and perspectives to find out more about the code behind the mechanisms of life. Therefore, I did my BSc and MSc in two different perspectives: “molecular biology and genetics” and “biostatistics and bioinformatics”. My ultimate goal is to become a collaborative researcher who has an interdisciplinary vision to make novel discoveries that will affect society. Therefore, to gain further insight around the code of life, the best way is to pursue a PhD by doing research in this field with a different perspective: “epigenetics – the mechanisms regulating the genetic expression”. The focus of the Cell2Cell network is the association between chromatin dynamics and phenotypic variability, which perfectly matches my interests. As being a part of this ITN, we have a great opportunity to grow as independent researchers who can collaborate with highly qualified and open-minded people.

My host institute is located in the beautiful city of Oxford which offers to witness a great history and variety of activities. As a person who has lived in a metropolis since birth, Oxford is very peaceful and organized. I like going to concerts and spending time outdoors and believe Oxford is perfect for this.
